These Terms and Conditions govern access to and participation in the Curly Lifestyles platform, including memberships, services, partnerships, and paid offerings. They apply to all salons, stylists, creators, and businesses who access, purchase, or use CurlyLifestyles.com and any related services operated by Curly Lifestyles Media Inc.
By creating an account, purchasing a membership or service, submitting content, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. Definitions
“Curly Lifestyles,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refers to Curly Lifestyles Media Inc. “You,” “your,” or “Member” refers to any salon, stylist, creator, or business accessing or using the Service. “Service” refers to CurlyLifestyles.com, memberships, profiles, directories, content tools, editorial features, paid services, and promotional initiatives.
2. General Terms
These Terms apply to all use of the Curly Lifestyles platform and to all communications between you and Curly Lifestyles, including electronic communications. Curly Lifestyles reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
3. Membership and Eligibility
Membership is available to salons, licensed hair professionals, stylists, creators, and related businesses operating in compliance with applicable laws and professional standards. You confirm that all information provided in your profile, content, credentials, services, and booking links is accurate and not misleading. Curly Lifestyles reserves the right to approve, decline, suspend, or remove any membership or account at its sole discretion, with or without notice.
4. Membership Fees and Access
Curly Lifestyles may offer limited founding member access at a promotional activation fee. Once founding spots are filled, standard membership access is available at the published full price. Membership fees grant access to the platform and eligibility for features and services available at the time of purchase. Membership does not guarantee visibility, promotion, leads, bookings, revenue, or outcomes. Unless otherwise stated, membership fees are one-time and non-refundable, subject to applicable cancellation and refund policies.
5. Services and Add-On Offerings
Curly Lifestyles offers optional paid services, including but not limited to profile reviews, editorial features, and challenge-related sponsorship opportunities. All service pricing is exclusive to Curly Lifestyles Members. Services provide professional guidance, curated visibility, or editorial positioning only and do not constitute advertising guarantees, performance-based marketing, or agency services. Delivery timelines begin once all required information has been received from the client.
6. Editorial Review and Discretion
All profiles, content submissions, services, features, and sponsored placements are subject to editorial review and approval at the sole discretion of Curly Lifestyles. Curly Lifestyles may approve, decline, edit, delay, limit visibility, reschedule, or remove any content or service for reasons including quality, accuracy, safety, brand alignment, platform strategy, or availability. Submission or purchase does not guarantee publication, feature placement, or continued visibility.
7. Non-Exclusivity and Platform Scope
Participation in Curly Lifestyles is non-exclusive. Curly Lifestyles may partner with an unlimited number of salons, stylists, creators, brands, and businesses, including those offering similar or competing services. No member is granted exclusivity by category, geography, specialty, or service type.
8. Professional Responsibility
Members are solely responsible for their services, pricing, licensing, sanitation practices, insurance, client communication, and outcomes. Members may not represent that Curly Lifestyles employs, certifies, endorses, or guarantees their services. Curly Lifestyles may remove a member, profile, or content if conduct or practices could reasonably harm the platform, community trust, or brand reputation, including conduct occurring outside the platform.
9. Educational Content and Medical Disclaimer
Content on Curly Lifestyles is provided for educational and informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice. Curly Lifestyles does not verify medical, scalp health, hair loss, allergy, or treatment claims. Users should consult qualified medical professionals for health-related concerns.
10. Content Ownership and Usage Rights
Members retain ownership of content they submit. By submitting content, you grant Curly Lifestyles a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, reproduce, and promote the content across the platform and Curly Lifestyles marketing channels. You confirm that you own or have permission to use all submitted content and that you have obtained written consent from any identifiable individuals featured. Proof of consent must be provided upon request. Curly Lifestyles may remove content immediately if ownership or consent is disputed.
11. Directory Placement and Visibility
Directory placement, search visibility, featuring, and category positioning are determined by platform design and editorial discretion. Curly Lifestyles does not guarantee rankings, impressions, traffic, leads, or bookings.
12. Third-Party Services
Profiles may include links to third-party booking platforms, payment processors, or websites. Curly Lifestyles is not responsible for third-party services, including availability, errors, cancellations, refunds, data handling, or disputes.
13. Promotions, Features, and Scheduling
Any welcome posts, reposts, features, sponsored placements, or campaign inclusions are subject to scheduling availability and editorial planning. Eligibility does not guarantee selection. Timing and format are not guaranteed.
14. Intellectual Property
All Curly Lifestyles branding, logos, trademarks, badges, designs, templates, and proprietary materials are the exclusive property of Curly Lifestyles Media Inc. Members may display their Creator badge and profile link for promotional purposes but may not alter branding or imply endorsement beyond participation on the platform.
15. Feedback
Any feedback, ideas, or suggestions submitted may be used by Curly Lifestyles without compensation or obligation.
16. Disputes Between Members and Clients
Curly Lifestyles is not responsible for disputes between members and their clients, including cancellations, refunds, service dissatisfaction, allergic reactions, or claims of misconduct.
17. Cancellation Policy
Service purchases may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase by emailing info@curlylifestyles.com, provided that work has not yet begun. After 24 hours, all service purchases are final and may not be canceled. Delivery timelines begin once all required information is received. If required information is not provided within 7 days of our request, the service will be considered complete and closed.
18. Refund Policy
Refunds are available only if a cancellation request is submitted within 24 hours of purchase and before work has begun. After the 24-hour cancellation window, no refunds will be issued, regardless of outcomes, engagement, or results. Refunds will not be provided for delays or non-completion caused by missing, incomplete, or late submission of required information. If a service cannot be fulfilled due to availability or editorial considerations prior to work beginning, Curly Lifestyles may offer a refund or alternative option at its discretion.
19. Termination
Curly Lifestyles may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misrepresent credentials, create legal or safety risks, or harm the platform or community. Termination does not entitle members to refunds unless required by law.
20. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Curly Lifestyles Media Inc from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from your services, content, business practices, or violation of these Terms.
21. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Curly Lifestyles Media Inc shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost revenue, bookings, data, or reputational harm. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
22. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian privacy laws, including PIPEDA where applicable.
